Brochure design for one of Bristol’s iconic locations
Dating back to 1849, the Lido in Bristol is one of the oldest surviving Lido’s in the UK, allowing year round swimming. Having closed in 1990 the Clifton Baths were left to decay for nearly 20 years, at which point Arne Ringner purchased the site following a local campaign to ‘save the Lido’. The Lido opened its doors to Bristol and beyond on the 13th December 2008 and has since become a venue for every occasion from daily swims, celebrations and holidays.
We were asked by the Lido to design the first issue of its new quarterly magazine. The publication was to act as both a promotional tool, and also as a family photo album of sorts, capturing the members and their stories in a beautiful way. Working with beautiful photography to tell the stories, with a clean, elegant, sophisticated and minimal design employed throughout.
